F3 Lowcountry Preps For 2023 Pork Butts Sale

The group of local men behind the Lowcountry chapter of F3 Nation are passionate about each part of this core trio of motivations. You will see them on the beaches and in the parks at 4:30 am some mornings getting a group workout in. And when it comes to fellowship, they have pooled their resources together to become an impressive giving machine.
F3 Lowcountry has given $285,000 to local charities over the past seven years and a lot of that money is raised through the group’s annual Super Bowl Weekend Pork Butts Sale.
This year, seven local businesses – High Point Family Dentistry, Elite Sports Therapy, Bella Straw, Kinghorn Insurance, SERG Restaurant Group, Vaux Marscher Berglind and J.K. Tiller Associates – are sponsoring the sale to help offset the cost of purchasing the epic amount of pork butts that the F3 crew will cook up in the VMB parking lot off May River Road.
Past recipients include DJ’s Day of Giving, which received a check for $12,500 from the group in 2022. This year, the proceeds will go to Save the Shutters, a charity focused on providing home renovations for low-income families, and The Celebration Project, a nonprofit that provides birthday parties and special events to families in need.
The roughly five-pound finished butts are $40 each and can be picked up from 9 a.m. to noon at 1251 May River Road on Feb. 11.
